EngineerTrack – Digital Innovation in Vocational Engineering Education

EngineerTrack is an international Erasmus+ KA220-VET project that aims to transform vocational engineering education by introducing a modern, digital approach to internship tracking, learning, and evaluation.

The project addresses a common challenge in vocational education: the lack of structured, engaging, and traceable tools that connect workplace learning with educational objectives. EngineerTrack responds to this need by developing a multilingual mobile platform that enables engineering interns to document daily activities, reflect on learning outcomes, receive feedback, and develop digital skills in a structured and motivating way.

The consortium brings together universities, research institutions, industry partners, and innovation organizations from six European countries, combining academic expertise, real-world industry insight, and digital innovation capacity. This collaborative approach ensures that the platform is both pedagogically sound and practically relevant. 

Alpha Plan Solutions’ Role

Alpha Plan Solutions serves as the Technology Development Lead, responsible for designing and delivering the core digital infrastructure of the project. This includes:

• Development of the EngineerTrack mobile application (iOS & Android)

• Implementation of gamification elements to increase student engagement

• Multilingual support in six European languages

• Digital task design tailored to engineering internships

• Tracking, feedback, and reporting features for students, mentors, and educators

The application creates a sustainable digital environment where students can log internship activities, upload media, complete structured tasks, and build documented evidence of their competencies—aligned with the needs of modern vocational education and Industry 4.0.

Impact and Value

EngineerTrack strengthens the connection between education and industry by improving transparency, engagement, and quality in internship experiences. The project contributes to:

• Better monitoring and feedback tools for educators

• Clearer documentation of competencies for industry partners

• A more inclusive and accessible vocational education system across Europe
